7 out of 10 Harveys’ customers say staying in is the new going out
A recent survey of Harveys the furniture stores' customers showed that people are doing more entertaining at home.
/PressPort/ -- As the recession continues to bite and the budget takes hold, Harveys asked their website users if staying in was the new going out. A whopping 70% of customers answered that they were now staying in and entertaining at home.
Karen Broderick, of Harveys comments:
"We have seen a rise in sales of 'social' furniture recently and considering the above responses it is not surprising. The Harveys customer typically has strong family values and so it would make sense that they enjoy entertaining at home, particularly, for key seasons such as BBQ, sports and holiday periods".
